TIARO DISTRICT ARTS AND CRAFT FESTIVAL 2008 will be held over 3 days, 8, 9, & 10^th August at the Tiaro Memorial Hall & Community Centre. The opening being Friday evening the 8^th August with drinks and nibbles starting at 6pm, at the Tiaro Memorial Hall, with the Official Opening by our Mayor, Cr Mick Kruger at 7pm. Saturday 9^th and Sunday 10^th 9am-2.30pm will include market stalls, music, dance, and food stalls. Admission is $2. People’s Choice judging on all entries, will begin on Friday night and continue until 11am Sunday, and presentations of prize winners will be at 1pm Sunday with Cr Linda Harris. There will be various categories and this year there will be prizes of over $150.00 per category. Categories include painting, photography, woodcraft, ceramics, folk art, fibre & fabric, open category, wearable art, children’s section and schools display. This year it is open to all, not just local residents, so we hope to see lots of new artists coming to Tiaro. There is also a monster raffle to be drawn on Sunday after the presentations. Tickets will be sold throughout the festival, and there are some great prizes to be won.
