What is Greening Australia QLD?
Greening Australia is a national, community organization that helps Australians to conserve and plant native trees, shrubs and grasses.
We have been working with rural and city groups, farmers, schools, and business in every state and territory since 1982.
Our Mission
Greening Australia works with the community to achieve sustainable land and water resources, primarily through improving vegetation management practices.
Out and About in Tiaro Shire with Greening Australia
We are currently in the midst of the following activities, anybody who would like to help out are always welcome.
Seed collecting farm walks - meets 1st Saturday of the month - anybody welcome
Tree-planting to re-connect remnant vegetation to establish a wildlife corridor on Tinana Creek
Working with Tiaro & District Landcare Group - meets 3rd Wednesday of the month - anybody welcome
Tiaro Wildlife Corridor activities - tree-planting, seed collecting, direct seeding, including long-stem cutting trial on
the toe of the Mary River
Fauna surveys with EPA, anybody welcome
Tree-planting at Petrie Park, Tiaro, as part of the Tiaro Wildlife Corridor
Dry Vineforest Scrub assessment on the lower Tinana Creek
Rivercare Planning for the Tiaro reach of the Mary River
